These applications and solutions deliver enterprise data management, data analytics, modeling and simulation, and technology assessment capabilities that are used to create products that offer actionable information in support of warfighters and decision makers.Hardware Engineer IWhat You'll Do:* You'll work on a joint Government-contractor team, maintaining and deploying complex processing system environments.* Major responsibilities will include:* Assessing architecture and current hardware limitations, defining and designing system specifications, and evaluating working parameters for hardware/software compatibility* Providing support to the Government program lead for all engineering tasking in order facilitate capability integration* Performing analyses of evolving processing systems to include concept, design, fabrication, test, integration, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal* Preparing drawings documenting as-built configurations for processing systems at local and remote sites.* Lead and coordinate the activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation and repair of processing devices.* Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.* Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, the Strategic Support Units, and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.* Perform other duties as necessary.What You'll Need:* BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 2 or more years related experience.* Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.* U.S. Citizenship is required* Current TS/SCI security clearance w/polygraph required.* In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered.Working Conditions:* Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or clean room, outdoors or remote research environment.* May access other facilities in various weather conditions.* Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.* Travel to CONUS and OCONUS government and non-government locations may be required.Verification that your current security clearance or government customer access meets the requirement for this position will be required.Relocation for this position is not available.US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIREDBall Aerospace is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
