About the Opportunity Our not-for-profit client is seeking a bilingual Project Manager to lead a high-profile national initiative. This project aims to improve access to culturally responsive substance use and addiction services for communities across Canada through the development of a bilingual digital navigation platform.
This role will serve as the central point of coordination between community organizations, healthcare providers, individuals with lived and living experience, technical partners, and governance committees. The successful candidate will lead the project from implementation through launch and final reporting, ensuring all stakeholders remain aligned and project objectives are achieved within established timelines.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and successful delivery of a national health-focused project
- Coordinate and facilitate collaboration among community organizations, healthcare providers, technical partners, governance committees, and project stakeholders
- Lead community-informed consultations and engagement activities, ensuring culturally safe and inclusive participation
- Translate stakeholder feedback into project requirements, recommendations, and actionable deliverables
- Oversee the development and implementation of a bilingual web-based and mobile-friendly navigation tool through coordination with external technical partners
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, budgets, and project documentation
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and issues.
- Manage external vendors and specialized service providers, including coordinating scopes of work and deliverables
- Prepare project updates, executive briefings, financial reports, and reports required by funding organizations
- Support performance measurement, evaluation activities, and final project reporting
- Supervise project team members and provide coaching, guidance, and workload prioritization
- Coordinate knowledge mobilization activities, presentations, communications materials, and stakeholder outreach
- Foster strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across Canada and support consensus-building among partner organizations
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Public Administration, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum five years of progressive project management experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Experience coordinating digital, web-based, or technology-enabled projects through external vendors or technical teams
- Fluently bilingual in English and French, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both official languages
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse, marginalized, racialized, or equity-deserving communities in a culturally safe, trauma-informed, and inclusive manner
- Experience leading consultations, workshops, working groups, stakeholder engagement sessions, or community-based initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build consensus across multiple organizations and competing priorities
- Experience managing project budgets, financial reporting, and project deliverables
- Experience managing vendors, consultants, or contracted service providers
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, briefing materials, and executive-level communications
- Experience supervising staff and supporting performance development
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Experience within healthcare, public health, substance use services, mental health, health equity, community services, or not-for-profit environments would be considered a strong asset
- PMP, PgMP, ITIL, or related project management certification would be considered an asset
