Project Manager, Medical Device Integration, Hybrid - 8-Month Contract - 19156 About the Opportunity LRO Staffing is proudly partnered with one of Canada’s reputable Healthcare Organizations seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a major technology transformation. The successful candidate will lead the medical device integration workstream, working closely with clinical stakeholders, Biomedical/Clinical Engineering, IT, application teams, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and third-party vendors.
This role is best suited for a Project Manager who has experience delivering hospital-based technology projects where connected medical devices, clinical workflows, interface readiness, vendor coordination, and go-live preparation all intersect.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a meaningful healthcare transformation initiative while supporting a complex and highly visible implementation workstream.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of medical device integration activities within a large healthcare implementation project
- Coordinate work across Biomedical / Clinical Engineering, IT, application teams, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, clinical stakeholders, and external vendors
- Manage integration activities involving connected clinical devices such as patient monitors, fetal monitors, dialysis, anesthesia-related devices, and other medical technologies
- Support interface and connectivity work involving HL7, FHIR, DICOM, device connectivity platforms, and related hospital integration standards
- Drive cross-functional testing, issue tracking, risk management, deployment planning, and go-live readiness activities
- Maintain project plans, decision logs, status reporting, documentation, timelines, risks/issues, and stakeholder communications
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- Proven Project Management experience within a hospital, healthcare technology, clinical systems, or medical device integration environment
- Experience managing medical device connectivity, clinical technology integration, or hospital interface/integration workstreams
- Strong understanding of how connected medical devices interact with hospital systems, clinical workflows, vendors, and technical teams
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including Clinical/Biomedical Engineering, IT, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, application teams, vendors, and clinical users
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, DICOM, interface testing, and/or device connectivity platforms
- Strong communication, documentation, facilitation, escalation management, and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced implementation environment
- Experience working on large complex projects, preferably in Epic
- Able to work a hybrid model and have capacity for some extended hours support
