Director of IT - Permanent - 19064 About the Opportunity The Director of Information Technology will oversee the IT team and be responsible for the management of the daily functions of the IT department to ensure the IT needs of various departments on property are met, including set up and maintenance of Desktop Applications Support, Server and Workstation Administration Services, Network Administration Services, Email, Cyber Security, and Backup Efforts as required. This role will manage the networks, storage, infrastructure, security, and communications within the systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 3-5-year IT strategy and roadmap aligned with organizational goals
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology investments, risks, and opportunities
- Identify and implement innovative technologies to enhance guest experience, operational efficiency, and revenue generation
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across gaming, hospitality, and corporate functions
- Own enterprise cybersecurity posture, risk management, and incident response planning
- Enable data-driven decision making through system integration and analytics platforms
- Perform end-user support, including installing and configuring PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and office applications
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures for hardware, software, access management, and data protection
- Mange computer systems and networks including application, database, cloud infrastructure and on prem servers
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a combination of relevant education and
- experience
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing a mid to large IT customer service organization
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities while working closely with various departments
- Must be hands on technical in addition to providing strategic direction
- Project management experience preferred
- Experience with site-to-site Microsoft migrations an asset
- Experience with implementing compliance standards (ISO/IEC 27001, CES) an asset
- Experience with implementing ITL4 standards and practices an asset
- Highly organized and detail oriented. Able to perform many tasks at one time
- Broad knowledge of computer applications, system installation, troubleshooting, problem solving, and operation techniques
- Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing business environment
- Must have knowledge and experience with:
- The latest Windows Server Operating Systems, Hybrid Cloud MS365 Environment
- VM Ware, ESXI
- Backup, data retention software and appliances
- Firewall VPN and Switches (Cisco or equivalent)
- Knowledge and experience of other specialized software:
- MICROS Point of Sale
- CMP, ERP, Loyalty Systems
- Surveillance Systems
- Crestron
- Server Monitoring Tools
- CrowdStrike
