Maintenance Planner


Overview:

Steam Australia is a leading importer and distributor of high-quality industrial, commercial, and domestic dry steam cleaning machines throughout Australia and New Zealand. With more than 20 years’ experience supplying European-manufactured steam cleaning systems, Steam Australia supports clients across industries such as commercial cleaning, health & aged care, hospitality, food production & manufacturing, and auto detailing.

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner with demonstrated expertise in technical maintenance, maintenance scheduling and planning strategies to join our team at our corporate office in Lane Cove West, NSW. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week.

Main Tasks:

-Develop and implement maintenance planning strategies for plant equipment and company assets to optimise operational reliability and efficiency.

-Schedule, coordinate, and prioritise maintenance activities for equipment to ensure high availability of company and customer assets.

-Prepare and maintain maintenance records, job plans, and equipment history, ensuring accurate documentation for compliance and operational purposes.

-Forecast maintenance requirements and recommend reliability improvements, including preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

-Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and customers regarding maintenance schedules, new equipment installations, and service outcomes.

-Support procurement and coordination of spare parts and materials required for effective maintenance activities.

-Implement continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimise resources.

-Assist in ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and risk management practices related to maintenance activities.

-Plan and oversee service procedures on domestic, commercial, and industrial equipment, ensuring work is performed safely and according to organisational procedures.

-Coordinate maintenance activities for new and existing customer equipment, ensuring timely service and minimal disruption to operations.

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

-A minimum of a relevant Diploma or higher qualification, and 1 year industry experience within the past 5 years.

-3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above.

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:

-Experience working with electrical systems.

-Strong knowledge of maintenance planning principles, scheduling systems, and equipment lifecycle management.

-Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or similar scheduling software.

-Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple work streams.

-Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and operational teams.

-Understanding of industrial equipment operation, servicing requirements, and maintenance reporting.

-Ability to analyse maintenance performance data and provide insights for improvements.

Annual salary will be between $76,515.00 to $85,000 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
