We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our team, based at 26/10 Assembly Drive, Dandenong South, Victoria 3175. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the organisation’s IT infrastructure and systems.
Role Overview
As the System Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s database management systems, operating systems, servers, and security frameworks. You will ensure optimal system availability, data integrity, security compliance, backup reliability, and overall system performance to support business operations across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage resilient database architectures, including schemas, data models, tables, metadata repositories, and standardised naming conventions to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
- Administer, monitor, and maintain operating systems, servers, and enterprise applications to ensure system stability, availability, and optimal performance.
- Establish, execute, and maintain secure backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies, enforcing access controls, data protection measures, and system integrity standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain system and database documentation, operational procedures, governance frameworks, and IT policies in accordance with organisational, regulatory, and security requirements.
- Perform testing and validation of system upgrades, patches, and database changes, including fault identification, issue replication, logging, root-cause analysis, and resolution in line with approved quality assurance processes.
- Assume full responsibility for system security operations, including vulnerability management, risk mitigation, incident response, and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
- Liaise with cybersecurity vendors, software suppliers, managed service providers, and external consultants to evaluate, deploy, maintain, and optimise security solutions, while monitoring service delivery, contractual obligations, and service level agreements.
- Provide advanced technical support by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues across servers, workstations, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and system integration to ensure compatibility, efficiency, and scalability across all computing environments.
- Maintain accurate system logs, audit trails, and technical records to support compliance, operational transparency, and audit readiness.
- Proactively assess current IT infrastructure and network capacity to identify future requirements, and provide strategic recommendations for system upgrades, server deployments, and network enhancements.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a System Administrator or similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of operating systems, databases, networking, and cybersecurity principles
- Sound understanding of business processes and project coordination
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate within a team environment
- Successful completion of a National Criminal History Check
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance

Qualified candidates can look forward to a competitive salary package of AUD 80,000 per annum plus superannuation for a full-time, permanent role working 38 hours per week.
