Applicant needed for DATA ENTRY of client information into Tax Return preparation software, document review, and client missing information follow-up. Seeking motivated individual with high attention to detail, diligent work ethic, good organizational skills, pleasant personality to telephone interface with clients for follow-up.
Scope of Responsibilities –
- Input of data from financial records into Lacerte Tax program (Tax Organizers/Documents/IRS Transcripts)
- Contact Franchise Tax Board as needed.
- Manage files by priority date and CPA
- Reviewing all tax reports/forms for completeness and accuracy. (Check documents for errors)
- Resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documents.
- Enter & maintain Excel spreadsheets tracking Client data (client name, time spent on each file, date of input etc.)
- Follow-up on Client files and keep track of missing information on each client.
- Maintain open dialogue with CPAs, Office Manager and Front Desk
- Contact Clients via email or phone calls regarding missing information. The file will not be presented to the CPA until complete with all required documents/information/data.
- Analyze Tax Summaries and analyze disparities
- Work hour flexibility: some weekends and long hours especially during tax season
