General Description:
Supervises Infrastructure team (Systems Administrators (all levels) and Desktop Support).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure availability of, and maintain all technology systems, regardless of location (on-prem, SaaS and hosted).
  • Assist with technical architecture of technology platforms for all Business Units.
  • Manage Active Directory based authentication: Creation, organization, and health of user accounts and GPOs.
  • Assist with IT components of Sarbanes Oxley audits, including automating processes to alert and report on anomalies.
  • Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement within Systems Operations; recommend solutions and assist in overseeing implementation using established best practices.
  • Overseeing and confirming all software has proper licensing in place.
  • Document network, systems and processes (logical and physical).
  • Mentor technical staff and assist with Help Desk escalations.
  • Manage Disaster Recovery process using Veeam.
  • Enforce and ensure group-wide server standards (HW, SW, OS) according to best practices.
  • Manage vendors and 3rd party providers in respect to service delivery.
  • End user technology training and guidance on how to use tools in most efficient manner possible.
  • Assist with managing and creating annual IT budget.
  • Perform other duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in systems administration, and working in multi-site IT infrastructures with a minimum of 100 users.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft enterprise solutions and best practices is required as well as advanced knowledge of VMware vCenter/vSphere. Administration of Microsoft Exchange (hosted, or on-prem), administration of Veeam BU/DR, and administration/implementation of Asterisk based VOIP systems a plus.
  • Systems Administration/System Engineering certification in VMware, Microsoft, & Cisco
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Five to ten years of senior property management, asset management, development, or acquisition experience in the multifamily sector required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in business, finance, accounting and/or real estate.
