Job Summary ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: OPIR Operations Analysts specialize in the tasking, collection, processing, and dissemination of OPIR resources and data. OPIR planning and real-time execution incorporate multi-intelligence (multi-INT) collaborative inputs to address long-term and emerging customer requirements. These analysts also troubleshoot OPIR performance issues and develop and recommend changes to OPIR tactics, techniques, and procedures. Additional Job Information ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Space Operations Officer will collaborate with customers and source providers to develop comprehensive multi-intelligence (multi-INT), multi-source strategies to address intelligence problems. The incumbent will liaise with Source Mission Operations (SXO), Source Mission Integration (SXM), Joint OPIR Center (JOPC/SXODS), and Office of Special Projects (OSP) personnel during the identification, evaluation, selection, and integration of Space capability solutions into the NSG architecture. The incumbent will be a forceful advocate for tools, processes, and policies that bring OPIR Space operations into the mainstream and facilitate OPIR Space collection operations. They will assist development of tradecraft for the workforce. Member will provide support to and liaise with external agencies with information, guidance, and provisioning of GEOINT capabilities, and will implement GEOINT Functional Management procedures and policies regarding tasking, collection, and dissemination in support of the Space mission. As needed, member will assist Source efforts with NGA ISDs and AFDROs, and assist OPIR Space collections in support of civil and commercial collections. They will also assist NGA Support Team (NST) efforts in support of USSPACECOM, its subordinate units, and its national security mission. Create, implement, assess, and revise all end-to-end GEOINT-based strategies for non-earth imaging. Liaison with Source Mission Operations (SXO), Source Mission Integration (SXM), Joint OPIR Center (JOPC/SXODS), and Office of Special Projects (OSP) personnel during the identification, evaluation, selection, and integration of Space capability solutions into the NSG architecture. Collaborate with stakeholders across NGA, NRO, DoD, IC, foreign, and industry partners to improve and advance capabilities and standard practices for needs management, acquisition, processing, exploitation, storage, and dissemination of GEOINT data supporting the Space mission. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the objectives and goals of the space/counter-space and space resiliency missions. Drawing upon this understanding of mission needs and advanced GEOINT source strategies analyst tradecraft, analysts will influence the development of all-GEOINT data acquisition strategy to fulfill Space customer needs. Work closely with Source Mission Integration personnel during the identification, evaluation, selection, and integration of Space capability solutions into the NSG architecture. Provide support to external agencies with information, guidance, and provisioning of GEOINT capabilities, and implement GEOINT Functional Management procedures and policies regarding tasking, collection, and dissemination in support of the Space mission. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Studies, Mathematics, Operations Research, Political Science, Science, Statistics, Technology, Remote Sensing, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in Option A, plus experience in a GEOINT-related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a GEOINT-related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Near visual acuity of 20/40 or better with or without corrective lenses; Far visual acuity of 20/60 or better binocular with or without corrective lenses. Highly Desired Qualifications QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: Capability to assist design, development, planning, implementation, and update of system integration initiatives to advance NGA's support to Space domain awareness and Space collections. Personal flexibility and adaptability for shifts/changes in crisis situations enabling the successful handling of unforeseen challenges inherent to working in a high-visibility environment. GIS Experience and/or Geospatial-based credentials (academic degrees, certifications, and certificates) are desired. Recent experience conducting inter-agency collaboration to enhance (or improve) space collection operations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Job Requirements You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information. All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility.
