It oversees the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the largest mortgage insurer in the world, and regulates important parts of the housing industry. The Office of Housing also helps ensure consumers can access housing counseling and provides affordable rental housing through its Multifamily housing program. The Office of Housing is committed to helping all Americans obtain safe, decent affordable housing.The Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for Finance and Budget is responsible for the integrity of all Housing-FHA accounting records, the preparation of timely and accurate financial and management reports on all FHA activities.This position serves as the Director of the Housing Office of Systems and Technology (HOST), located within the Office of the DAS for Finance and Budget, Office of the Housing-FHA Comptroller. The primary role of the Director is the responsibility for coordinating, advising, tracking, and reporting on the compliance of all Office of Housing information systems with federal security, privacy, and financial management standards, and for supporting audits and reviews relating to Housing's information systems.The official duty station for this position will be in Washington, DC. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.QualificationsYou must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:* Planning and executing a framework of security, privacy or related compliance including roles, responsibilities and procedures for multiple information systems; AND* Using and applying NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) standards to establish or renew the certifications for multiple information systems; AND* Providing technical direction and guidance to teams of professionals in the application of NIST standards to maintain the security, privacy or related compliance of multiple information systems.Time-in-Grade:In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.Time After Competitive Appointment:Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.Education
