Data Manager, Banking Products Lead


Job Description:The Data Manager, leads/manages a team of Product SME Data Analysts in support of Treasury users of banking product data including retail and wholesale loans, credit cards, auto loans, and deposits. The Data Manager partners across Treasury Functions in strategic design and implementation of solutions specific to banking products to deliver to key stakeholders within TDM’s product-aligned operating model that delivers an integrated set of horizontal data capabilities. This includes stakeholder management, analysis, design, data derivations, control design and implementation, requirements, issue management, audit/governance support and process/design documentation.Role Responsibilities:Lead a team of Data Associates and Analysts, coaching and transferring knowledge and expertise to the teamInfluence key products, strategic direction, data sourcing and develop tactical plansEscalate issues and provide recommendations to senior managementOversee distribution of data analysis work, review the outputs and present to senior leadershipEngage with business and technical stakeholders at varied levels to align on key objectives and provide data management oversight and proactively escalate and mitigate risksReview and sign off on individual testing activities in support of technology and change managementCoordinating subject matter expertise to drive delivery through a wide matrix-management environmentDevelops and implements programs, projects or processes for a major segment of a complex function or a small diverse businessEscalate validated issues and providing recommendations for remediation to senior managementEnsure the proper risk disciplines are being followed to deliver the best outcomes for key stakeholders, shareholders, and Bank of AmericaRespond to audit and regulatory requests and socialize findings with businessImplement and adhere to EDM and RDA policy and standardsOwn core data value added processes and ensure data are taken into consideration for changes and testing and interpret business requirements for technical implementationRole Stakeholders:GLM, ECM, TF, SALM, CIO, EIM, BSM Market’s Peers/Senior Directors/Managing DirectorsUpstream systems supplying dataTreasury Technology teamsTDM Product SME Peers/VPs/DirectorsIssue / Change / Initiative Execution - Senior Directors/Managing DirectorsInternal TDM Peers and directors – Testing/Change/GovernanceRequirements:Bachelor's degree and 7 to 10 years of financial services and/or product-specific markets experience in a finance, front, middle or back office3-5 years managerial experience with a proven track record of influence with people at all levels of an organization3-5 years data management experienceA leading expert with both business and product expertiseA proven manager of people, that can create and support the desired cultureKnown for your ability to partner, communicate and influence business and technical counterparts and senior stakeholdersSkilled at interpreting and communicating business strategies into defined work programs and processes and influence decisions and outcomes through effective communicationsKnown for being a Subject Matter Expert, able to apply your extensive functional or professional knowledge to quickly develop subject matter expertise across a broad spectrum of issuesAnalytical, capable and performance-driven, yet approachable and humbleFundamental understanding of credit risk, market risk, operational riskTechnical delivery and reporting automation backgroundIn-depth knowledge of Banking products e.g,. Deposits, Consumer Loans, Credit Cards, Mortgages, and Commercial LoansTechnical expertise, with working knowledge of key systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with a strong emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and VisioA leader a large project or multiple projects that are significant in scope and impactThis role may be filled as a Data Manager or Data Senior Analyst based on skills and experience.
