The company specialized in the engineering design of concrete swimming pools in South East Queensland. With further acquisitions of a structural residential engineering firm and a soil testing firm, the company expanded its services and team. The company offers comprehensive services to our clients while still continuing our personalized service.
As of September 2024, the company has joined the highly respected national consulting firm, offering an even more comprehensive suite of engineering solutions, whilst still maintaining the same level of personal service and expertise.
The position
We are looking for a mechanical engineer with innovative spirit and outstanding professional skills to join our team. As a member of Newport Consulting Engineers, you'll be involved in the design and implementation of a variety of projects, including mechanical systems for residential and commercial projects and swimming pools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems, including swimming pool equipment, mechanical systems for residential and commercial projects, etc.
- Take responsibility for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining structural engineering files, drawings, and documentation.
- Work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives and ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget.
- Perform technical analysis and troubleshooting to solve problems in design and implementation process.
- Design and analyze mechanical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in all phases of the project, from conceptual design to final delivery.
- Prepare and review technical reports and project documentation.
Key Requirements
- At least bachelor’s degree or above in engineering field.
- Minimum 5 YEARS RELEVANT working experience, preferably in architecture or civil engineering.
- Strong experience in structural mechanical design, analysis, and engineering services.
- Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing client relationships.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
