Accountant


Clarity Management Group Pty Ltd are looking for an Accountant for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in our Queensland Brisbane CBD head office.

Responsible for providing financial/taxation advice and support to clients and work colleagues to meet the financial service agreements between Clarity Management Group and the clients primarily in the hospitality industry. The duties include but not limited to the following

·        Prepare and review client Budgets and Financial Statements as per client service agreements weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual basis or as required

·        Prepare consolidated financial reports to present to Clients

·        Work with all staff to review figures and provide relevant financial information as requested

·        Provide accounting and taxation advice and recommendations to client as require

·        Review reconciliation of key chart of accounts

·        Prepare accounting and financial reports using designated cloud accounting software including Tax lodgments and payments

·        Prepare Tax and associated tax related entries as requested as directed by Clarity Tax Director

·        Work with the bookkeeping/accounting team at the end of each week and month to gather the required information necessary to complete financial reports

·        Provide all internal operational and bookkeeping staff with assistance when required. This involves assisting with any queries and identifying and providing guidance where required

·        Assist with reconciliation of all taxation accounts including but not limited to ATO integrated Income tax, BAS and IAS portals

·        Oversee and review work performed by bookkeeping teams for accuracy and completeness periodically

·        Reconcile, review and lodge annual and monthly Payroll tax

·        Review client hospitality onsite data bases platforms such as POS stock control and gaming platforms

·        Maintain historical record by filing documents

·        Attend meetings with clients and their financial advisers as required

·        Prepare customer invoicing and receipting where required

·        Prepare supplier payment and expense processing where required

·        Processing of hospitality Payroll using Clarity preferred cloud based platforms

·        Maintain Clarity Cloud Hospitality Data Management platform as required

·        Review client debt collection

For this position is expected you would have the following.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience.

Work Experience

·        At least 2 years’ experience in similar role and/or progressive financial responsibility

Knowledge

·        Should have a demonstrated knowledge of cloud-based accounting platforms MYOB and Xero

·        Proficient knowledge of hospitality payroll platforms cloud and on-site data base computerized programs such as stock control and gaming platforms

·        Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Excel and associated Microsoft O365 platforms

·        Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Zoom platforms
