Ø Description of the position:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced taxation accountant to join our team at Braddon ACT. The successful candidate will be responsible for provide high-quality taxation accounting tasks across the group.
Ø Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare of comprehensive financial statements and reports for presentation to Board of Directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies
· Perform routine accounting tasks, including GST reports and reconciliations
· Co-working with senior accountants in tax planning and compliance activities
· Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
· Prepare and lodge tax returns, Business Activity Statements, and Fringe Benefits Tax returns
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial information
· Conduct account analysis by reviewing transactions and invoices
· Appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects
· Implement accounting systems/software for clients and provide assistance when needed
· Engage and maintain client relationships including providing advice on taxation issues.
· Liaising with ATO to handle disputes, and other regulatory bodies
· Adhere to company, state, and Australian accounting and financial regulations
Ø Skills required (Like qualification, experience, registration and license):
· Relevant Tertiary degree and CPA/CA qualified or working toward these.
· One year plus experience in taxation accounting
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software like Handisoft, MYOB and Xero
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
· A proactive and self-motivated attitude
