Landscape Architect


About us:

The company established in 1999, is a family-run business located in Hobart, TAS. We specialize in designing and instalingl stone products that blend the unique styles of Europe and Australia for our clients in the Hobart area. Our services include: Masonry, including all types of stonework; Landscaping design and construction; Maintenance and general repair; Traditional European rendering. Our products include: outdoor living and entertainment areas, pizza ovens, water features, paths, feature walls, stairways, fireplaces, ponds, etc. We are currently seeking an innovative and dynamic Landscape Architect to join our team.

Duties:

  • Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into practical design solutions for creating unique outdoor living and entertainment areas.
  • Create and implement landscape designs that encompass water features, paths, feature walls, and more.
  • Prepare comprehensive landscape planning reports, detailed design drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
  • Improve and optimize landscape designs to seamlessly integrate with the company's distinctive business characteristics, which include blending European and Australian styles.
  • Supervise the implementation of landscape design projects, overseeing plant material selection, landscape element installation, construction schedule coordination, integration of stone products with landscape elements, and resolution of potential issues.
  • Provide professional guidance on the maintenance and restoration of outdoor landscape elements to ensure the long-term aesthetic and functional integrity of the designed spaces.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure project’s smooth completion within financial and time constraints.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or a related design field.
  • 2+ years working experience in landscape design, planning, and project management in a professional environment.
  • Proficient in utilizing Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), SketchUp Pro, AutoCAD (or similar software), and MS Office.
  • Capable of executing extensive landscape plans, encompassing design and construction documentation.
  • Experienced in project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for project evaluation within budget constraints.
  • Abilities to communicate effectively with team and stakeholders.
