Our team is looking for an Accountant to join our team of Accountants to handle portfolio of clients. This is a perfect opportunity for someone coming from a strong Accounting and Financial background to build their career in Australia’s finance and accounting sector.

Role: Full-time

Annual Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 excluding superannuation

Location: Bankstown, NSW

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

•             Prepare financial statements for individuals, businesses, and organisations.

•             Prepare business activity statements (BAS) and tax returns for clients

•             Manage and execute compliance requirements including but not limited to BAS and other regulatory obligations

•             Meet deadlines related to financial reporting and provide assurance about the accuracy of data in financial reports

•             Analyse financial statements and provide recommendations for enhancing financial efficiency

•             Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies in relation to client’s tax issues

•             Attending to and responding to client queries.

•             Advising clients on adherence of operational compliance and risk policies in relation to accounting, payroll, and taxation.

•             Stay up to date with latest developments in accounting laws and regulations.

•             Advise on investment planning

Qualifications & Experience:

•             At least 3 years of relevant Australian work experience

•             In depth knowledge of different financial concepts such as depreciation schedule, calculating franking credits, capital gain calculations etc.

•             Master’s degree in accounting.

•             Sound knowledge of accounting concepts especially reconciliations, balance sheet and profit and loss statements.

•             Proficiency with Accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, Handitax and MYOB.
