About Us: Established in 2015, Sydney Cold Logistics is a leading ambient, chilled, and freezer distribution company based in Greenacre. With the capacity to store 1000 pallet spaces across three temperature variants, we offer comprehensive storage, cross docking, and product distribution services across Sydney and NSW.

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will manage all general ledger accounts, prepare financial statements, and support various accounting functions within the company. This is a full-time position based in Greenacre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all general ledger accounts and prepare financial statements.
• Review financial reports to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards.
• Support accounting policy formulation.
• Assist in taxation issues.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements for lodgement and reconcile PAYG tax withheld on salaries, PAYG income tax instalment, and GST payable/claimable.
• Assist in variance analysis on actual versus budgeted expenses, including examining sales income, cost of sales, and operating expenses.
• Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable to ensure amounts are collected in a timely manner.
• Assist in inventory management and perform stock-take reconciliations.
• Provide advice on company internal control systems.
• Assist the Finance Manager and Managing Directors on relevant matters.

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Education: Degree qualification in Accounting obtained in Australia.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the warehouse and transport industry.
• Software Proficiency: Experience using accounting software including Esuite and MYOB.
• Microsoft Office: Highly proficient user of Microsoft Office suite.
• Personality: A natural positive and proactive personality with a willingness to learn.
• Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment.

Language Skills: Good English, Cantonese, and Mandarin skills will be advantageous.
